The Bar & Beverage sessions will feature Peter Camps from Heineken USA who will talk Increasing Revenue with Beer through product assortment, beer & food pairing suggestions, proper menu merchandising, and proper service standards. In addition, David Scott Peters, founder of TheRestaurantExpert.com will talk about Preventing Theft Behind the Bar.
Emma Vaughn, lead of Main Street Hub’s business outreach will discuss 3 Ways to Use Social Media to Attract Customers to Your Restaurant in the Marketing & Social Media track. Other education sessions will include presentations on How to Use Your Online Reviews to Fill Your Restaurant During the Week with New Customers as well as Next Gen Marketing, and Turn Up Online Messaging for Social Media.
The Theory of Profitability: Understanding the Theoretical Food Cost will be part of the Operational Excellence sessions. Kevin Paider with Culinary Software Services will take a look at the baseline food cost calculation, what key items need to be tracked, and how to analyze the difference between your theoretical cost and actual cost. Other topics will address franchises, protecting cash flow, optimal customer experience and much more.
Darren S. Dennington, CFBE, will present The Nine Dysfunctions of a Restaurant Team and provide ways to bring a team together, improve morale, drive productivity and allow managers the time to focus and ability to work on the areas of the operation that truly need their attention in the Building a Winning Team track. Other sessions include Diversity and Inclusion for All by Oasis Outsourcing and a panel discussion on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace with Johnson Jackson LLC.
The Hot Trends track will offer insights surrounding launching your business, increasing your sales, robots to augment your serving staff’s capabilities, weed in the workplace, building customer loyalty, and knowing how a professional critic looks at your operation. One session featuring restaurant coach Donald Burns will discuss What Will It Take to Win Over Gen Z as Foodies? Another session led by CEO & founder of MenuTrinfo Betsy Craig will present 10 key principles to launch your business or take you to a new level personally based on Betsy’s successful experience.
