The Plaza Restaurant is a table service restaurant offering lunch and dinner options at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. It is located at the end of Main Street USA, toward Tomorrowland. Adjacent to a hard-to-miss ice cream parlor, this cozy little gem seems to be overlooked a little too often. They do accept reservations, and they’re advisable to avoid the potential for a surprise rush. They also participate in the Disney Dining Plan. This is a Victorian themed location with intricate decorative accents. Indoor seating is available in a main dining room, as well as a smaller sunroom.
Quick service restaurants at Disney may have an original menu item or theme that vary by location, but certain facts are generally reliable to count on wherever you dine. For starters, the french fries are the same all across the resort, and they’re just okay. If you want to improve them, look for restaurants that have a cheese or ranch sauce, or something similar to top or dip in. Another standard – you can expect to rub elbows with your neighboring park guest when seated. Disney has made it a point to cram every last seat into their dining establishments that they can manage.
*TOP PICK – In case you missed it… The Plaza has meat loaf! Normally, I am not the biggest fan of meat loaf, and I absolutely don’t like it cooked outside of a home kitchen. Exception alert!!! With hearty portions of the entrée, as well as the sides (served with garlic mashed potatoes and corn), it is worth the $18 price tag. A far more appealing option than the standard, overpriced burgers, indeed! If you’re like me, you try to find that special gem that each restaurant offers that’s a bit different than the common offerings. At The Plaza, it’s the meat loaf. The banana split is a great enhancement, by the way!! 🙂 You’re welcome!
