ORLANDO, Fla. (January 10, 2018) – The local ownership team at Marlow’s Tavern sets the opening date for its newest restaurant location in Oviedo for January 23. The 3,587 sq. ft. tavern is conveniently located at Oviedo on the Park at the intersection of Mitchell Hammock Road and City Walk Lane.
The tavern will offer classic American fare in a comfortable and unique atmosphere for guests to create memorable experiences, enjoy chef-driven food and handcrafted cocktails. The restaurant is warm and inviting with large leather booths and communal tables seating 116 guests in the tavern, plus 76 seats on the all-weather, covered patio.
“Oviedo is an ideal neighborhood location for the strategic expansion of Marlow’s Tavern throughout Orlando,” says Alan Palmieri, co-owner and partner. “The tavern will proudly serve surrounding families, college and university students and business professionals who call this burgeoning city – home.”
In every community Marlow’s Tavern serves, it partners with local neighborhood associations and charities to support and give back to the people who have generously supported the local tavern and staff. Marlow’s Tavern Oviedo evokes a sense of community through its partnership with Boys Town Central Florida. Proceeds from the opening events benefit Boys Town and its mission to assist at-risk girls and boys in crisis throughout Central Florida.
The restaurant will feature the “best of the best” in classic American tavern fare served in a modern atmosphere. Menus offer a diverse combination of classic dishes that are updated and elevated to a higher level. The restaurant will open daily at 11:30 a.m. to serve lunch, happy hour and dinner.
Local restaurant industry veteran, Alan Palmieri, was searching for his next career opportunity when he discovered Marlow’s Tavern. After retiring from Darden Restaurants, Inc., where he was executive vice president of operations in the Specialty Restaurant Group, Palmieri knew that Marlow’s was what he had been looking for – the perfect neighborhood restaurant to serve his family, friends and the Orlando community. As a longtime Orlando resident with decades of restaurant experience, Palmieri knows that Marlow’s Tavern is a perfect fit for the East Seminole County community. Palmieri will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and future development of the Orlando market.
“Each Orlando neighborhood is unique,” says Executive Chef and Co-founder John C. Metz. “Alan’s local perspective, community relationships, commitment to quality and strong affiliation with the values in which we believe are important factors to operate a successful restaurant in Oviedo.”
“We are committed to be a valued partner in the Oviedo community with an authentic neighborhood tavern experience each and every day,” adds Palmieri.
Hiring continues to employ talented and experienced foodservice professionals. Applicants may also apply online at http://www.marlowstavern.com/careers.
