Emmy and Tony award-winning makeup artists come together to spill their tricks and tips to artists from around the world
The Makeup Show Orlando, taking place on Saturday, September 15th and Sunday, September 16th, has announced this year’s diverse list of Keynote speakers. In addition to receiving insider discounts from top beauty brands such as MAKE UP FOR EVER, Smashbox, and NYX Professional Makeup, attendees will have the opportunity to learn and be educated by the best in the industry.
The following artists will take the stage to share professional insight, tips and advice:
Saturday, September 15th
Kevin James Bennett’s “Makeup Kit Breakdown” 10:30 AM-12:00 PM: Kevin will be breaking down product ingredients and what makes the perfect addition to your professional makeup kit. He helps separate needs versus wants in the ever growing market as well as discussing formulation, must-haves, efficiency, and more.
Timothy Hung’s “Artistry in Action” 12:30-2:00 PM: Join Timothy as he showcases the visual components of color, form, line, shape, texture and value to take you from fundamentals to the fantastical. Watch and experience how an artist can use color and texture to elevate an application and showcase how two dimensional ideas are adapted to three dimensional.
Danessa Myricks’ “Multidimensional Makeup for Photography” 2:30-4:00 PM: As a makeup artist, photographer, and entrepreneur, Danessa Myricks has mastered the perfect beauty application and made a name for herself as one of the most creative artists in our makeup industry. In this first time keynote, Danessa shows us why a multidimensional strategy is key to producing impactful images. She shares her tips for manipulating texture, maximizing color, and creating dimension which sets the tone for creating memorable images.
“An Artist Conversation” 5:00-7:00 PM: With the influx of social media, the celebrity makeup artist and makeup influencer titles have become very common creating opportunity, options and also controversy. In this important panel, James Vincent, Kevin James Bennett, Danessa Myricks, and Special Guests will explore the similarities, the disparities and the disputes.

Joe Dulude II’s “Quite the Character: Creation and Application of Character Makeup and More” 10:00-11:30 AM: In this first time keynote at The Makeup Show, Broadway’s most sought after artist, Joe Dulude II, a Tony Award Winner, will share his story and offer expert insight on the creation, inspiration, development and design of a makeup application. He will give advice on the tools and techniques to execute a flawless application as well as help attendees gain a better understanding of their makeup skills and refine their vision to success.
Sam Fine’s “Mastering the Basics of Beauty“ 12:30-2:00 PM: Sam Fine, brings his first-hand knowledge, artistry, and experiences that separates him from others in the industry and establishes him as an expert and innovator in our field. He will give advice to further your own artistry and success in the industry and attendees will learn the secrets to creating unforgettable makeup applications and design for the specific needs of their clients.
Yolonda Fredrick-Thompson’s “A Career in Makeup” 2:30-4:00 PM: Join Yolonda, in this first time keynote at The Makeup Show as she shares her story and shows you her process for designing and applying unforgettable makeup. Watch as she shares the detailed techniques for which she has become known for and listen as she offers insight on what you can do to build your own career in makeup.
